5-in-1 Drinking Game Review

5-in-1 Drinking Game Review

5-in-1 drinking game review
The 5-in-1 Drinking Game deck of cards by C-Student is a simple concept. It is a 54 set of standard poker size playing cards. the cards are divided into four sections much like a game of trivial pursuit and each color represents a different drinking game. If you would like to play a drinking game you simply stick with one color and follow what the card that you choose says.

The cards are designed for practicality more than style. The four colors are easily distinguishable and the rules are big and clear for easy readability. The name of each game is printed behind the rules which provides a little texture and adds a little character to the cards. The back design is a cool black and white picture of a college party with a transparent orange and sports the line “The Party Takes Priority”, it’s a clever nod to the company’s name (C-Student) implying that grades aren’t the priority of the college experience.

Ultimately this deck isn’t going to win any design awards but it’s not trying to. The card design serves it’s purpose and allows the drinking games to be accurately played even after you’ve been playing said games a little too long.

The cards are standard poker-size 2.5″x3.5″ premium casino cardstock. The plastic coating makes the cards highly resistant to water or other spilled fluids, an important trait considering the nature of the games (drinking games for messy college students). The deck comes in a clear, hard plastic case, nothing special to look at but it protects the cards and keeps them together nicely.

The deck comes with 4 built in drinking games. The 5th game comes from the fact that the cards also work as a standard deck of cards with 4 suits and 13 values. Each of the drinking games are a fun way and provide a good excuse to gather a group around a table or playing area. The rules on the cards will remind you of what to do once you know the game but some prior knowledge is required to play. The deck comes with a list of the rules for all the games and they are all simple enough that once you play through a round you will have it down pat.

Where can you get them?

The 5-in-1 drinking game card set was unsuccessful on Kickstarter and therefore was never produced in high quantities. However if you like C-Student on Facebook and send them a message with your email they will generously send you everything you need including step by step instructions on how to order you own deck.
